NIP temporarily disbanded its Dota 2 roster
The European Esports organization NIP announced the disbandment of the Dota 2 roster. Information about this appeared on their official website.
NiP's COO, Jonas Gundersen, explained the decision by an unstable ecosystem, an increasingly unclear path to financial stability, and a high concentration of talent in the EU region. Gunderson noted that the club could re-enter the game if they find the right opportunity. With the upcoming DPC season, where each region will compete for qualifying points, we might see NIPs in a completely different region.
In April of this year, the NIP signed a roster of players playing under the Chicken Fighters tag, but already 2 months after the signing, the team's captain, ??Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev, left the team. The team's main achievements were the third places at BTS Pro Series Season 3 and DOTA Summit 13 Online.
Right now, NIP is playing in Epic League Division 2. It is unknown whether the players will continue to participate in this tournament, and if they continue, then under what tag they will play.
Former NIP roster:
??Charlie "CharlieDota" Arat
??Ondřej "Supream^" Štarha
??Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek
??Adrian "Era" Kryeziu
??Mikhail "Misha" Agatov (stand-in)
