EG hires Chris DeAppolonio as Chief Innovation Officer
Seattle-based Esports organization ??Evil Geniuses has hired Chris DeAppolonio as its Chief Innovation Officer. The organization plans to expand its activities in other games and technology areas.
??Evil Geniuses, founded in 1999, was one of the earliest Esports organizations. Today it has teams in many Esports disciplines, including Dota 2 and CS:GO. It was acquired by Peak6 Investments last year. Since then, they have greatly increased the staff count and set a course for the industry's development. Inviting Chris DeAppolonio is one of the development steps.
The new Chief Innovation Officer will focus on developing influence on non-Esports games, developing student leagues, and working with streaming platforms. Previously Chris DeAppolonio led the Houston Outlaws performed in the Overwatch League.
