Pakazs and Shopify Rebellion Start DreamLeague Season 25 Flawlessly

The Dota 2 action simply doesn’t stop. DreamLeague Season 25 is kicking off, and we’re treated with tons of action in the Group Stage. 16 teams were divided into two groups to play Round-robin matches in Best of 2 format. Here’s a quick recap of what happened on Day 1.

Group A

At first, it seemed like the upper echelon of Group A seemed extremely obvious, but one outlier has snuck into the top spot.

Tundra Esports and Heroic played four maps without dropping one, but so did Shopify Rebellion after releasing mangekyou and bringing in Pakazs to play in the offlane position. Despite a perfect start, the North American squad played arguably some of the weakest teams in the group.

Team Falcons isn’t doing too well, as they begin their Group Stage run with a 1 - 3 result after matches against Tundra Esports and the BetBoom Team

Group B

Group B also has some fierce competitors, but the results aren’t as one-sided as the opposite group.

Team Spirit is off to a flying start after taking down two Eastern European teams, Chimera and PARIVISION, to go 4 - 0. A notable mention is the Gaimin Gladiators, who had just benched Seleri for Malady. With the new lineup, they managed to go 3 - 1.

However, it’s still too early to judge the teams based on the results from Day 1, as PARIVISION is down 1 - 3 after four maps.

DreamLeague Season 25 is a $1,000,000 held online. 16 teams begin in the Group Stage, and the bottom four in each respective group will be eliminated. The top eight teams will continue in the second Group Stage before reaching the Playoffs.
